Portugal...The Azores

My mother came to visit me over the Easter holiday. We took out an old photo album of pictures from a 2004 trip
to the Azores, Portugal. This is where my mother grew up and immigrated at 18. I can't believe
it has been almost five years since that
trip. Here are some of my favorites.

  4. Thanks Lydia, I loved it there, and would retire there in a heartbeat. The people were so warm, the food amazing and the environment second to none! Oh, now I am missing it even more.

  6. These photos are beautiful!! I hope to go there someday, I actually just started working in a cafe run by a family from Portugal. They are wonderful people and make THE BEST food! The cafe is named after these scrumptious tarts called Natas! yummm!!
